Unload
only after sunrise and before sunset. |

The
Exit Gate must always remain completely in open condition during LPG/Propane
unloading operation. |
 |
Check
that Spark Arrestor is provided on the exhaust of LPG /Propane Tanker before it
enters LPG/Propane Yard. |
 |
Check
the level of LPG/Propane in the bullet to see if sufficient empty volume is
present to take in the product from the mobile tanker. |
 |
Ensure
that tanker is parked only on the hard standing platform, provide wheel chocks
behind the tanker wheels to prevent accidental movement of the
vehicle. |
 |
Ensure
that Master
Switch of tanker is switched off and DCP Fire Extinguishers are taken out and
kept ready for use in case of Emergency. |
 |
Connect
Earthing /Bonding wire crocodile clamp to tanker. See that bonding is always
made to ensure continuity by removing any
protective coating like paint, rust etc. |
 |
If
the fuel supply to the fire cannot be cut off, the fire must be controlled. |
 |
Check that
air inside the hoses is vented to atmosphere by opeoning the vent valves
provided in the unloading pipeline. |
 |
Check that suction, discharge valves of the LPG/Propane pump and liquid
inlet valve and vapour balancing valve of bullet / LPG vessel are in open
condition. |
 |
Check that
flow of liquid in sight flow glass indicator once unloading starts. |
 |
The liquid level in bullet and tank truck should be constantly monitored. |
 |
Check
that liquid level in bullet does not exceed 85% of rotogauge
reading. |
 |
Check that vapour equalising line connected through the vapour unloading hose to
tank truck is open through out the unloading operation. |
 |
If the liquid flow stops, switch off
the unloading pump and close valves of the tanker, valves on bullet and suction
of pump. |
 |
Check
that the entrapped LPG in liquid and vapour hoses (after unloading) is released
by opening vent valve before disconnecting the hoses. |
 |
Check that
after depressurising the hoses, vent valves are closed, hoses are disconnected
from the tank-truck and plugged. |
 |
Check
that earthing connection is disconnected and wheel chokes are removed before
allowing the tanker to leave. |
